Dock Street III: December 29th & 30th, 1998

History and Notes:

Matthew's Memories

Still doing only two shows, I know that these shows were starting to sell out very quickly by now. Magazine had arrived by this point, and I think that we dropped the 'amazingly all acoustic' aspect of the show to deliver rock and roll versions of these songs.

This was the year that the band nearly disowned me, because I went insane and decided to create a 'dramatic interpretation' of Magazine, complete with my gorgeous friend Allison Munn (star of many WB sitcoms, now), playing the part of 'the girl' that wants to 'live in a magazine.' It was Brechtian in concept and WAY too much to tackle in three days of rehearsal and the band told me that we'd never do anything like that again. And we haven't. I loved it, though. Oh well... side projects?
